This illustration was the winner of the PaleoArt Contest at the 2° Congreso Colombiano de Paleontología in 2023.
It depicts an individual of the ophthalmosaurid ichthyosaur Platypterygius sachicarum Páramo, 1997 in a playful interspecific interaction with an ammonoid Gerhardtia veleziensis Hyatt.
